BETTY BILLUPS
Billups has been in the fine art field for 35+ years. Her oils are described as impressionistic. She is a member of Plein Air Painters of America, P.A.P.A., and she was their ad chairman from 1986 to 1996, helping to create the world wide movement and interest in Plein Air Painting! She has work in the U.S. Air Force Art Collection, in the Los Angeles Sheriff Department's art collection, and is in many collections around the world.
Billups was also commissioned by Mount San Antonio College of Southern California, to create a 6 by 16 foot mural for their Founders Hall. Her book printed by an international publisher, is now out of print but can be ordered from her web site, as well as "10 Projects En Plein Air". Original works can be viewed at the following locations before and after the tour:
American West Bank, across from Safeway on I-95; Wonderland Photo in the Bonner Mall; Baranski's Studio on I-200 near Trestle Creek; Panhandle Art Glass on Pine Street, Naples Gallery in Naples ID, and Tight Wire on Main Street in Bonners Ferry.
And for the Second Art Walk, a large selection of her work will be on view on Cedar Street Bridge.
