Julie’s watercolors explore themes of water, sun and emotion to bring the viewer into a moment of sharing what is always there, but we rarely stop to notice. She finds the moments where shadows and light exchange intimacies, and allows us to participate. They can be found in the sun’s gentle profoundness on a cold mountain stream or in a young girl’s exuberance and joy as she twirls in the warm sun. The view from her studio overlooking two mountain ranges is an awesome addition to the drive.
